A talk with a friend and chocolate chip cookies

Sitting on the steps in front of my house with my neighbour. It felt good to talk and then another neighbour brought us cookies. Yum!

I am grateful for relationships and time for keeping in touch.

I am thankful for being home safely after driving home in the snow storm. 

I am thankful for sledding with Tommy today.

And a heart around it. I am thankful for whoever etched on there for Aleki and I. 

It was a classic moment. Aleki turned to me and said " That is us! "

Value village gift certificate as a Christmas gift from good friend.

I was feeling down hearted because I bought some flowers and felt that they were way less than what they should have been for what I paid for them. 

Another staff member commented how pretty they were, with fall colors and said it in such a classy, eloquent and kind way it made me feel better. And so did the recipient -- echoed almost the same words. 

Here I was thinking the most negative when I should have looked at it with a different perspective -- looking for the good instead of being critical. 

I am thankful for all those good people in my life who make me see that even a rip- off boutique of flowers can still make me happy-- if I look at it with the right frame

of mind. A possitive attitude.
