Made-Up?

Today at school one of the printing work sheets read"Dragons are a made-up animal." I could not help overhearing one of my students say to another, "Sometimes dragons are made-up."  Not for a second did they believe that dragons are not real, and that is what I love about teaching this age group.  They are willing to imagine and believe in anything.  It is truely inspiring to spend time with them. This year has been a true gift.

Six Day Weekend

It all started on Monday... I was teaching and we were instructed to have parents pick up there children well before the afternoon was over.  Actually, many wondered why we had school in session on Monday... but now it is Thursday and we have been home ever since.  Safe, in our little house.  I have not done all the planning I meant to, but I did knit a scarf.  

Even I tried a little snow...it was so yummy... it was our first snow since November when we had a small dump.  Would you believe on January 16? Just another reason why I love living in BC.  It broke some records though, a winter storm that has lasted all week. It has been a six day weekend...sigh...*so thankful*
